New Nature Communication publication! Uncovering unappreciated signaling mechanisms downstream of GsPCRs

We are excited to announce the publication of our study "A molecular mechanism to diversify Ca2+ signaling downstream of Gs protein-coupled receptors1" in the prestigious journal Nature Communications. Our research, spear-headed by the first authors Julian Brands, Sergi Bravo, and Lars Jürgenliemke, provides new insights into the complex mechanisms that regulate calcium signaling downstream of activated Gs-coupled GPCRs. We have identified a previously overlooked molecular mechanism utilized by Gs-GPCRs to expand and, thereby, finetune their Ca2+ signaling regulation in mammalian cells. We are glad to have contributed to this important advancement in GPCR and G protein signal transduction and cell biology.
