I am passionate about the blood-brain barrier and brain-targeted drug delivery. My current DFG-funded project investigates innovative therapeutic targets for managing Alzheimer’s disease. I have received several grants and fellowships to support my research, including the Georg Forster Postdoctoral Fellowship from the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation and BONFOR funding at the University Hospital Bonn. In 2025, I was awarded the BONFOR Commission’s prize for the best project at the University Hospital Bonn, recognizing my work on perinatal BBB permeability fluctuations in the striatum.
